Paul was recommended to us by our neighbour who had a friend with a home just completed by Suterhomes.  After contacting the new owner and receiving a glowing reference which included “built on time and on budget”, we contacted Paul for more information. From our first contact he communicated promptly.  He was attentive in providing references, showing us previous home builds and providing an initial budget based on our house plans.

 After choosing Paul and Suterhomes as our builder, Paul worked with us and our architect on our  initial designs to make suggestions for improvement for the building process maximize our allowable square footage  as well as cost savings. He was well aware of how to use out building site to our advantage. One of his great suggestions was to leave a piece of unblasted rock at the front of the house that not only helped with our roof heights but also is a really cool architectural feature of our house as you drive up.

 During the build, we communicated daily if not more. We looked forward to the weekly trips up to Whistler to see the progress of the house. It was always great to see a tidy work site. Our daily point man on site was super conscientious and showed great attention to detail. There was a great crew that worked hard in rain, snow and hot sun.  Most important, everyone took pride in the work they were doing. Paul put in a lot of time and effort listening to what we wanted. He provided samples of materials or told us where we could go to view materials or designs. The listening and advising did not stop throughout the entire project and it was appreciated. Paul was willing to work with my kitchen designer and some of the finishing trades I selected.

We recommended Paul to two other owners starting buildings in our small 14 lot neighbourhood.  Paul has now completed  three very unique and differing high end homes in our neighbourhood.  That says a lot.
